Dartford Borough Councils opportunities valued over £30,000 are advertised on the South East Business Portal website www.businessportal.southeastiep.gov.uk. The Council may also choose to advertise opportunities valued under £30,000, dependent on the type of procurement.

Portal registration
To register your company on the South East Business Portal select supplier registration from the left hand side of the South East Business Portal homepage. Registration and use of the South East Business Portal is free of charge. There is a wizard that will guide you through the setup process. You will then be issued with a username and password via email. Once reigstered on the South East Business Portal, you will be sent an email every time a new opportunity is posted by Dartford Borough Council that matches a category you registered against. The email will contain a link which will take you directly to the opportunity.
Viewing opportunities
To view Dartford Borough Councils opportunities select opportunities from the left hand side of the South East Business Portal homepage and select Dartford Borough Council from the Council to view drop down menu. Those opportunities shown with a green tick in the first column are available for expression of interest. Those opportunities shown with a red cross in the first column have passed the expression of interest end date.
It is possible to view Dartford Borough Councils opportunities without registering on the South East Business Portal. However, in order to express an interest in an opportunity and to send and receive tender or quotation documentation, you must be registered.
Expressing an interest in an opportunity
To express an interest in an opportunity, view the opportunity on the portal and click on either "Express an interest", "Login and express an interest" (if not already logged in) or "Register and express an interest" (if not already a registered supplier on the portal).
You will receive an email notifying you that you have successfully expressed an interest. If you do not receive this email please go back to the opportunity on the portal and try again. The opportunity will show if you have already expressed an interest once logged into the portal.
Dartford Borough Council uses an electronic tendering system Pro Contract for the issue and receipt of both quotation and tender documents. Dartford Borough Council Currently Advertised Opportunities
Land Compensation in respect of the A2-A282 Dartford Improvements
Dartford Borough Council is looking to appoint a suitably experienced
organisation to bid for the rights to act on behalf of the Council in relation
to the submission, negotiation and settlement of compensation claims under Part
1 of the Land Compensation Act 1973 in respect of the A2-A282 Dartford
improvements and any other areas identified.
The role of the successful land agent will involve:
• the identification of qualifying properties from our housing stock.
• the submission of claims to the relevant highway authority.
• the valuation of each claim.
• carrying out all negotiations with the highway authority and/or their agents.
Payment of the contract is to be made on a prearranged commission only basis
with no additional costs to be charged to the Council.
The deadline for expressions of interest is 12:00 noon, Tuesday 3rd May 2011.

Fire Alarms & Extinguisher Servicing & Maintenance
Dartford Borough Council are seeking expressions of interest for a contract for
the servicing and maintenance of fire alarms & extinguishers in all sheltered
housing schemes and other identified sites borough wide.
The Contractor is required to carry out a range of maintenance works to the
interiors and exteriors and external environments of dwellings and schemes both
occupied and vacant. The works comprise jobbing maintenance, repairs and minor
works to all fire alarm/extinguisher systems.
The contract is for a period of 4 years starting on 1st June 2011.
All organisations that express an interest will be sent a pre-qualification
questionnaire (PQQ). Upon expression of interest you will receive two emails.
The first email will be confirmation of your expression of interest. The
second email will contain a link to access the PQQ document. You will need to
login to access the PQQ using the same username and password used for the South
East Business Portal.
The deadline for expression of interst and submission of your PQQ is 12:00 Noon
on Thursday 28th April 2011.
