Dartford and Gravesham Business Awards 2011

The Dartford and Gravesham Business Awards provide well deserved recognition to those businesses – a boost that is especially important in these difficult economic times. After six successful years, these awards are now one of the most prestigious in the South East and celebrate the hard work and entrepreneurship of Dartford and Gravesham companies.

Company size is not relevant, only that your annual turnover must be below £5.6 million and you must be based in Dartford or Gravesham.

Dartford Borough Council will be hosting the event at the Hilton Hotel, Dartford on Friday, 10 June 2011.

Winners 2010

Prizes to the value of £1,000 were awarded to the successful businesses in a spectacular gala evening which took place at the Woodville Halls in Gravesend. Leader of Dartford Borough Council, Cllr Jeremy Kite attended and presented the awards with the Leader of Gravesham Borough Council.

2010 Overall Winners, Whitecode Design Associates Ltd

The photograph above shows last year’s overall winner for the Dartford and Gravesham Business Awards 2010 as Building & Design Consultants, Whitecode Design Associates Ltd who are based in Dartford.

The Dartford Business of the Year Award goes to Fast Trak Solutions which was started 18 months ago and offers a scheme whereby private landlords are offered a comprehensive rent guarantee and is the first such scheme in the UK.

The Gravesham Business of the Year Award was presented to True Hair and Beauty.

A special prize for Best New Business was presented to Mobile Bar Hire Ltd from Dartford, this company has has a lot of success and copes wiht events from 10 to 10,000 people providing hospitality packages for the events industy.

The second special prize for Business Personality of the Year was awarded to Claire Cooper of A & R Engineering Industries Ltd.

The remaining finalists were: Carbon Energy Solutions Ltd, Quay Assessment Training Ltd , W.B Services UK Ltd, Classic Education Ltd, P4Parties Ltd, Pals Theatre & Springfield Education & Training.

The evening raised over £600 for the Royal British Legion, which was the chosen charity for the night.
