Partnership Priorities

We are committed to tackling problems that blight the quality of life for the residents of Dartford & Gravesham.

To help us achieve this we carry out a Strategic Assessment once a year, this assessment brings together data from all our partners on what has been happening in terms of crime and anti-social behaviour. The findings of that assessment are used to form the priority areas for the partnership to tackle. These priorities are changed depending on the findings of the yearly assessment.

Each of the priorities has a group dedicated to working towards its aims.

Currently our six priorities areas are;

Priority

Aim

Public Confidence

Increase the number of people feeling safe and reduce the fear of crime by keeping communities informed of the actions undertaken by the partnership in tackling their concerns.

Violent Crime

Reduce violent crime in the night time economy and repeat incidents of domestic abuse.

Anti-Social Behaviour

Tackle ASB in our communities, including loutish behaviour and vehicle nuisance along with environmental crime such as litter, graffiti, fly-tipping and abandoned vehicles.

Acquisitive Crime

Reduce burglary and vehicle crimes such as theft from a vehicle.

Substance Misuse

Disrupt illegal drugs markets and raise awareness of the harm caused by drugs and alcohol and to reduce underage drinking.

Young People

Ensure the safety of young people, reduce the risk of young people being victimised or becoming involved in crime or anti-social behaviour and to encourage a positive profile of young people in the community.
