Cemeteries
The
Bereavement Services of Dartford Borough Council ensure that a caring,
supportive and sensitive service is provided to those who are experiencing
the loss of a loved one.
A death in the family can be a difficult time for everyone involved and we offer help and advice in a variety of ways:
- Book a burial (see the right column for charges)
- Notify Dartford Borough Council of a death
- Apply for a memorial
- Grave location & Burial Archives 1856 on
Cemeteries in the Borough of Dartford
There are four cemeteries currently in use for burials:
- Watling Street Burial Ground, Watling Street, Dartford
- Stone Cemetery, St James Lane, Stone, Dartford
- Swanscombe Cemetery, Swanscombe Street, Swanscombe
- East Hill Cemetery, The Brent, Dartford
Other places of interest:

- Eltham Crematorium (Dartford Borough Council has links with Eltham Crematorium at Crown Woods Way, Eltham SE9 2RF. There are currently no crematorium facilities within Dartford)
In addition grounds maintenance is also carried out at the following closed churchyards and burial grounds:

- Holy Trinity Churchyard, High Street, Dartford
- St Edmunds Pleasance, Great Queen Street, Dartford
- St Margarets Churchyard, Darenth Hill, Dartford
- St Marys Churchyard, Church Road Stone
