Dartford Heritage Open Days 9-12 September 2010
For the fifth year running the borough's buildings and sites will be opened
up to the public to celebrate its local heritage. Residents will have the opportunity
to explore the heritage of some of Dartford's most famous
and intriguing sites in a special series of open days in September. Due to popular demand there will once again be the opportunity to attend a guided coach tour to discover
the hidden heritage gems and new ventures within the borough.
The heritage days will run from 9 to 12 September and residents have the chance to visit the Orchard Theatre, Twistleton Almshouses and St John's Jerusalem as well as take part in tours of the Manor Gatehouse, Ingress Abbey, Hawley Manor and a walk through the Swanscombe Heritage park. Other buildings, walks and talks by specialists are also included in the Heritage Open Days Event. See highlighted headings below for more details of places that you can visit:
