THE COLYER ARMS - OUTCOME OF HEARING HELD 14 SEPTEMBER 2005

The Licensing Sub-Committee returned the following decision:

Hours:

Monday to Thursday 10am until 11-30pm with an additional 30 minutes drinking up time.
Friday and Saturday 10am until 12 midnight with an additional 30 minutes drinking up time.
Sundays 12 noon until 11-30pm with an additional 30minutes drinking up time.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday on Bank Holiday Weekends (not Bank Holiday Mondays), Christmas Eve and Boxing Day sale of alcohol is permitted until 00-30am until the following morning with an additional 30 minutes drinking up time.

Additional Conditions Imposed (Prevention of Public Nuisance & Prevention of Crime & Disorder):

1. The playing of live or recorded music in garden areas of the premises is not permitted after 9pm.
2. After 11-00pm any live or amplified music shall be reduced in volume so it is not audible at any external boundary of any residential premises.
3. All external doors and windows must be kept closed after 11-00pm, other than for access or egress, in all rooms when events involving live, recorded or amplified music and/or speech are taking place.
4. The following events will not be included as part of your licence conditions and therefore you will need to apply for a Temporary Event Notice for these should they fall outside licensing hours as specified in the licence: Up to 12 other event days per annum at applicant's discretion.
5. Prominent, clear and legible notices (as agreed as being satisfactory by Council's Environmental Health Officer) must be displayed at all exits requesting patrons to respect the needs of local residents and to leave the premises and the area quietly.
6. No admission or re-admission is allowed into the premises after 11-30pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
7. All alcohol must be served in toughened glasses.
8. Glasses must not be removed from the licensed areas as indicated in the plans.
9. All bottles and glasses must be removed by staff from the public areas as soon as reasonably practicable.
10. Drink promotions and other irresponsible drinking related promotions are not to be permitted.
11. The beer garden to be closed to the public after 11-00pm daily.
