THE ALMA - OUTCOME OF HEARING HELD 14 SEPTEMBER 2005

The Licensing Sub-Committee returned the following decision:

Hours:

Monday to Wednesday 10am until 11-30pm with an additional 30 minutes drinking up time.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am until 00-30am with an additional 30 minutes drinking up time.
Sundays 11am until 11pm with an additional 30minutes drinking up time.

On Christmas Eve and Boxing Day an additional 1 hour after the above times plus the standard 30 minutes drinking up time.

Additional Conditions Imposed (Prevention of Public Nuisance & Prevention of Crime & Disorder):

1. There must be no live music played in the premises beyond 11pm.
2. Any music played in the premises must be at such a level so as not to be audible at the nearest residential properties.
3. After 11pm the premises must employ door supervisors with at least 2 present at all times. All door supervisors are to be registered with the S.I.A. and badges are to be worn during the operational hours. The door supervisors must wear clothing that is easily and clearly identifiable. Everyone must be searched and excluded if found or suspected of carrying illegal drugs or offensive weapons. In order for this to be fulfilled at least one female supervisor must be employed.
4. No admission or re-admission is allowed into the premises after 11pm on any day.
5. All alcohol must be served in toughened glasses.
6. Bottles and glasses must not be removed from the licensed areas as indicated in the plans.
7. All bottles and glasses must be removed by staff from the public areas as soon as they are either finished or empty.
8. Irresponsible drinking related promotions are not permitted.
9. An anti drugs policy to be entered into with the Police.
10. A policy for the management of groups, of which a copy must be forwarded to and agreed by the Police and Licensing Authority before commencement of these trading hours.
11. A personal licence holder will be on the premises during all times that alcohol is being served or regulated entertainment provided.
