Resident Parking Permits

Resident permit parking schemes operate around Dartford’s town centre for Mount Pleasant Road, Junction Road and Anne of Cleeves Road.

A resident may apply for one permit for one vehicle. The permit will display the registration of the vehicle it can be used for the parking area it applies to.

Resident permit parking bays are lined and signed clearly and multiple vehicle households and visitors may park in these bays if displaying an appropriately completed ‘visitor scratch card’, which residents can purchase from Dartford Borough Council at a cost of £5.00 for a book of five. Proof of residency such as the Council Tax statement for the current year, a mortgage or rental agreement is required for purchase.

Resident parking permit application procedure

Return it to the address below along with a copy of proof of residency and the vehicle registration document showing that the vehicle is registered at the same address:

Dartford Borough Council
Civic Centre
Home Gardens

Parking Services will issue a permit via the postal service following the validation of the documentation received.

NB: Temporary parking permits valid for three months can be issued to new residents upon proof of residency only. This allows time for the vehicle registration document to be renewed and a copy must be submitted to Parking Services prior to the issue of a ‘full’ permit.

NB: Failure to display the relevant permit in the appropriate vehicle or an appropriately completed visitor scratch card will result in the issue of a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).

Change of vehicle/details procedure

NB: Failure to do so will result in an invalid permit for which a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) will be issued. A PCN appeal will not be considered on the basis of forgetting to inform Dartford Borough Council.
