Dartford’s top sport stars will be recognised for their talent and dedication at a glittering award ceremony at Princes Park on Wednesday 26 March 2008.

The awards recognise the achievements of talented sports personalities across the borough.
Cllr Patsy Thurlow, portfolio holder for sport says the awards are a perfect opportunity to show support for talented individuals.
“We have a great range of talented sports stars in the Borough and it’s important that we recognise their achievements. These individuals work extremely hard at their chosen sport and it’s important we get behind them and show our support. I would urge anyone who knows someone deserving of an award to nominate now.”
The awards recognise the wide range of sports practised across the borough and in the past we’ve recognised netball, volleyball, aikido and even bare-footed water-skiing.
A judging panel will select the winners based on their achievements in 2007. Categories include under 13s, under 16s, under 21s, sports club of the year and sports coach of the year. Each winner receives a trophy and cheque for £100.
