The right to buy

In certain circumstances Council tenants have the right to buy their own home. The conditions and how the scheme works can be found on the Right to Buy page.

If you are approached by any organisation who wants to buy your house for you, or act on your behalf, contact the Right to Buy team at the Council before signing any papers or proceeding any further - the Council does not deal with third party organisations and will only discuss your case directly with you. The team are also happy to answer any questions that you may have.
