OUR HOUSE

Our House didn’t just win the Olivier Award for Best New Musical, it was an instant smash hit, winning the hearts of London’s West End. A touching tale of life and love, heartbreak and comedy, right and wrong. Our House is the irresistibly brilliant musical starring original X Factor winner, Steve Brookstein and Gwyneth Strong (Only Fools and Horses), and is bursting with non-stop classic hits from everyone’s favourite 80s pop group, Madness.

Sixteen today, in love for the first time - the world is really changing for the young Joe Casey. But on this fateful night he doesn’t realise quite how much.

Our House features more than 15 Madness hits including My Girl, Wings of a Dove, Baggy Trousers, House of Fun, Driving in My Car and of course, the all-time joyous classic It Must Be Love.

This hilarious, touchingly romantic and emotionally-charged musical is written by Calendar Girls’ Tim Firth, and directed by Lord of the Rings’ Matthew Warchus, with high-octane choreography by Billy Elliot’s Peter Darling.

They return to his backwoods home. Only then does she discover he has six brothers -- all living in his cabin. Milly sets out to reform the uncouth siblings, who are anxious to get wives of their own. Then, after reading about the Roman capture of the Sabine women, Adam develops an inspired solution to his brothers' loneliness . . . kidnap the women they want!

ALAN DARLOW PRODUCTIONS PRESENT A CHURCHILL THEATRE BROMLEY PRODUCTION
ALL THE FUN OF THE FAIR
with David Essex

David Essex, together with Boogie Nights creator Jon Conway invite you onto a roller coaster ride of romance and rock and roll, underscored by a helter skelter of David Essex hits and album favourites.

A travelling funfair provides the backdrop to a moving contemporary love story. David plays the part of the funfair owner Levi Lee, who is coming to terms with the loss of his wife and the attentions of a newly divorced woman. He is also struggling to deal with his rebellious teenage son’s tangled love life and ambitions.

Danger and mysticism lurk in the future, as predicted by a gypsy fortune teller if Levi changes his path. This moving story with a heartbreaking twist reaches out to every parent and anyone ever torn in love.

Against this tender backdrop is ALL THE FUN OF THE FAIR, with hilarious crafty cons, action packed sequences and plenty of rock and roll.

Inspired by David’s debut album ‘ALL THE FUN OF THE FAIR’, as the words of the title song suggest;

‘Roll on up see the main attraction, get your money ready, let’s take a ride.’
