FOUR POOFS AND A PIANO
Take a piano, add four poofs and what have you got? 4 POOFS AND A PIANO! More hairdresser than barbershop, this self-explanatory ensemble first performed at Soho’s exclusive Groucho Club back in mid-2000. They went on to play in venues ranging from the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London’s Mardi Gras, and in their own show LIVE AT LAST at the Kings Head theatre.
In 2001 the boys were spotted by the producers of the BAFTA and Comedy Award winning FRIDAY NIGHT WITH JONATHAN ROSS and were invited to become the resident house band. With an average weekly audience of over five million, they have provided musical introductions for Jonathan and his star guests including Madonna, Paul McCartney, Paul Newman, David Bowie, Robbie Williams, Quentin Tarrantino and Tom Hanks.

THE ORCHESTRA
Starring former members of ELO & ELO Part II
The Orchestra shows that the great E.L.O hits pass the test of time!
All six former Electric light Orchestra Part II members are once again re-united for an encore tour of the UK. This “back by popular demand” tour is so big, the band will be doing 25 performances from March 4 th to April 11 th. The second leg will include another 20 cities, with dates to be announced in May.
Since 1973, Kelly Groucutt on bass and vocals and “The Blue Violin” of Mik Kaminski along with symphonic arranger and orchestral keyboard player Louis Clark in 1974 (he’s also the originator of “Hooked On Classics”) were legendary past members of the mega hit making Electric Light Orchestra. Keyboard player and vocalist Eric Troyer in 1991, guitarist and vocalist Phil Bates in 1994 and Gordon “super drummer” Townsend in 1999, joined Kelly, Mik and Lou for a second incarnation called Electric Light Orchestra Part II. These six exceptional artists have performed to sell-out audiences from New York’s Carnegie Hall to London’s Royal Albert Hall and from Sydney to Siberia - in theatres, arenas and stadiums in over 50 countries.
Now these all time masters of symphonic rock are returning after their highly successful tour of the UK in 2006. That tour prompted this 2008 tour to celebrate the release of their next CD, which will currently available only at the tour venues of this 2008 tour. It is due out in stores for pre-holiday release in November.
Don’t miss this evening of great hits. You’ll hear all of your favorites including “Evil Woman”, “Turn to Stone”, “Mr. Blue Sky”, “Do Ya” and the rock anthem “Don’t Bring Me Down”. The show will be 90 minutes and the hits will keep coming. You’ll also get to hear the new single by The Orchestra “Twist & Shout”.
